Who we are:
CivilMass is a growing group of graduate and law students, non-profit professionals and activists based in Boston, Massachusetts.
What we believe:
We neither embrace a particular party nor reject partisanship outright. Rather, we believe in the power of words only insofar as they enlighten, inspire and cause an impulse to act. We ask our contributors and readers to recognize the importance of political action over idle speculation, and we flatly deny the notion that involvement in the political process is the sole providence of the powerful – or the naive.
What we do:
- We aim to be an up-to-date source of news and analysis on politics and culture.
- We aim to nurture a forum for discussing the key issues of the day in a passionate yet civil manner.
- We aim to support and increase civic participation in our community and country.
- We aim to instill long-term participation in public service
Dear Aaron and Francis (dah boyz),
Your enthusiasm leaves me reeling – I am proud to know you guys and kudos on this venture! In this day and age, when sincere interest is often labeled as naivete by the jaded and the skeptics, it is singularly refreshing to find expounders of the theory of “People have a voice and need to use it”!
May your lil’ blog have all the success you could wish for!
